Here's how to join in to the Twitter Idea Party, in progress... RIGHT NOW
Barbara has already started an ongoing Idea Party on Twitter and all the best brains are there, warming up for the BIG idea party on March 23-24. They're peeking in every now and then just waiting to hear if you have an impossible dream they can help you with.
If you're not on twitter yet I'll do my best to explain it step by step. If, for whatever reason, my instructions fall short, email me. I'm Rachel and I'll talk you right into the twitter idea party. CLICK HERE to email me.
If you are on twitter, keep reading and I'll explain a few tricks to make joining the twitter idea party easy and enjoyable.
Step 1.
If you have not already, sign-up for twitter, it's free and it's easy enough to do. CLICK HERE to sign-up. Write down your user name and password, I'm going to ask you to use them again in step three.
Step 2.
Want to head right over to the twitter idea party and see what's happening? OK then, I would like you to CLICK HERE (http://tweetchat.com). TweetChat is a service that makes chatting on a topic on twitter really easy. There are alternative ways to follow a single conversation on twitter but this is the easiest.
Step 3.
On the first TweetChat window, type in your twitter user name and password. Now, when you get to the next window, type ideaparty. You are now in the ideaparty chat. You'll see you have only a mere 140 characters to say what's on your mind.
You do not have to type in the #ideaparty when you post something in the chat room, it will show up on your chat automatically.
Step 4.
Let's say I say something and you want to address your comment to me while in the chat. I have two twitter accounts. You'll ether see me there as @DreamInAction or more likely @ProNagger. Let's say you want to say something to @PronNagger. If I said something and you want to comment on what I said, hover your courser over my text. Over to the right side of my update you'll see a little star and arrow. Click the arrow. In your update box you should now see my name with the important @ sign in front of it.
Now type what you have to say to me!
Next is a short explanation of "following" people and a few people you might like to follow.
Don't be afraid of being followed or following people. It's the way to connect on twitter. So how to follow someone?
Well, first you can click on the names that are of interest to you below. I have made all the names hot links to that persons twitter page. so....
click on Barbara Sher's name below, cause I know you will want to follow Barbara.

So if you're logged-in already on twitter all you need to do after you get to @BarbaraSher's twitter page is click the word follow under Barbara's picture.

There's a few names to follow. Now once you are on the idea party you'll meet other interesting people. If you click on there name you will be brought to their twitter page. Click on the follow button under or beside their name and you will be following their updates now.
